The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word ‘sacred’ as dedicated or set apart for the service or worship of a deity .  The word can also be defined as highly valued or important.

In today’s fast-paced, have-it-all world let’s not lose sight of the importance of motherhood.  It is worship to God.  It is highly-valued.  Its impact is both multi-generational and eternal.

I am homemaker, wife and mother of four.  Sacred Motherhood was birthed from my desire to put my thoughts and feelings into words and see what they look like laid out on paper (or a screen, in this case).  I am not a gifted writer and I will not post consistently (because I will probably be driving the kids to play practice or hitting the grocery store or running errands), but I am glad you came to visit and I hope you come back soon!

  1. Veracious Poet says:

O! how sacred motherhood is. My heart bleeds when I see babies sucking at plastic bottles instead of breasts. Mother is indeed supreme.

  2. Selva says:

Dear Eden, I am interested in exploring the possibility of using this image of mother and child for a book cover. Is there any way I can contact you privately so we can discuss it? Thank you dearly! Selva
